The Statutory Building Regulations and the Approved Documents are not readily understandable. The emphasis of this guide is to simplify and explain these two sets of documents, with diagrams and tables simplified and in some cases replaced by graphs. The 1991 Building Regulations come into force in Spring 1992 when this guide will be available to help practitioners interpret the exact meaning of the regulations and apply them in practice.
